Yea, Joel and Watches in the same sentence huh! If you know me at all, even surface level, then you know that I don\u2019t accessorize in any shape or form. When the hip hop fad that was studs (earrings for gentlemen) came along, I found them ridiculous. I never did chains on the neck or arms, nada! For the most part I have been a plain Joe, literally and figuratively speaking. The only time I even stayed with one for more than three months was sometime in high school when my dad bought me this golden metallic iced watch, ( ofcourse it was a knock off) but boy was it a beauty. It even got me the attention of the cool kids committee for like a whole term till they actually stole it and reduced me back to average blunt Joe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reminds me, one of my favorite contemporary hip hop artists, Jermaine Lammar Cole aka J Cole has a banger featuring Jay Z called Mr. Nice Watch. You know how we have been schooled to the line, time is money for the longest? Yea, Jermaine undoing all of that in one single bar was cruel. See, it is, but then again it really ain\u2019t. As he further articulates in the second line, that if you ever go broke, then time is all you have. Sorry I digress,we are not even dissecting Cole’s Mr. Nice watch in this one either but I couldn\u2019t help but rope it in.
